Oreo and milk with chocolate truffles on the side

It is time for experimentation and I have been through a few recipes on oreo cupcakes, cakes and cheesecakes. All of them seem to have way too many cookies in them. How much of a good thing is too much? After several bites on the chocolaty goodness while knocking back a few glasses of milk, I decided to work on my own recipe with a good enough number of cookies.

At the same time, I went on to make chocolate truffles while KitchenAid® was whisking away the butter and sugar for the cupcakes. At the spur of the moment, I thought why not add some coffee to make them into magical mocha chocolate truffles.

The end result, they looked very handmade as in not as round looking as the ones sold at Sins or Chocz. Still the taste of freshly made chocolates just brings you to a level of way above cloud nine. Coffee and chocolate are such wonderful brothers together. However, I need to bring down the sugar levels when I do them next time.

Okay, I have digressed. Back to the oreo cupcakes. I was afraid that taste of the cookies would be lost if I reduced the amount in the cake. They still came out gorgeous! Right on the first take. So watch this space for oreo cupcakes to come, after I work on perfecting the frosting next.

Thumbs up for a firm favourite

We don't have to be rocket scientist to know this.

Neither do we have to check the latest statistics to realise this.

Yes, we all love chocolates to bits. Young, old, skinny, fat, short, tall, kind, wicked, etc. We are mostly just so in love with chocolates that we can sometimes do crazy things over. Some swear by them and others will fight for them.

Well, there's no need really to fight for them if you get a good number of our Dark Choc cupcakes. As recently, a group of smartly dressed office workers on Cecil Street have come to attest. They agreed smiling with thumbs up given all round. They totally enjoyed the cakes to the last crumb.

Testimonials

"The choc ones flew off the box. Everyone loved it. Good texture and moist enough... Thanks."

A Lovely Couple

Signature Orange Cupcake^
Yes, it's been awhile since I last had an entry here. I have been dead tired. Bogged down with work.

Anyhow, here're the two flavours baked upon a friend's request. She'll be going Australia to study. All the best to her studies Down Under and don't forget to courier back some outstanding factory outlet bags and shoes for us.

The two flavours make a wicked combination if you take a bite at each; one at a time. If you have not guessed it by now, they are Orange and Dark Choc. Something about the zesty touch of the citrus fruit coupled with the bittersweet taste of chocolate just gets some awfully excited.
